This Cookie Policy explains how Mancunian Brands Limited, trading as Ancient Fields ("Ancient Fields", "we", "us" or "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies on our website.

2. How We Manage Cookies

We use Pandectes GDPR Compliance to help manage cookies and consent preferences on our Shopify website.

Pandectes helps us identify and categorise technologies used on our website and provides tools that allow you to accept, reject or manage non-essential cookies.

When you first visit our website, you will be shown a cookie banner. From there you can open the "Manage consent preferences" window, where non-essential cookies are grouped into three categories — functional, performance, and targeting and advertising — which you can allow or refuse independently. Non-essential cookies are not placed on your device until you have given your consent for that category.

Where a third-party technology supports a consent signalling framework, our consent management platform passes your category choices to that provider directly, so the provider's own scripts remain inactive or restricted until you have consented. This applies, for example, to Microsoft Clarity (see Section 4) and to Google and Microsoft advertising technologies where used.

Your choices are stored so that the website can remember your preferences.

You can review or change these choices at any time by clicking the cookie icon displayed in the corner of our website.

Targeting and Advertising Cookies

These cookies may be set through our site by our advertising partners. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites. They do not store directly personal information, but are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will experience less targeted advertising.

They may also help us understand things such as whether someone visited Ancient Fields after seeing an advert, and how our marketing campaigns perform.

Some of these technologies are provided by third-party advertising or social media platforms, including Microsoft Advertising. Where you allow this category, information collected through Microsoft Clarity may also be used by Microsoft for advertising purposes, including measuring conversions and optimising campaigns (see Section 4).

Targeting and advertising cookies will only be used after you have given permission.

 

4. Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity, a behavioural analytics service provided by Microsoft Corporation, to understand how visitors use Ancient Fields.

What Clarity does

Clarity captures how visitors interact with our website and presents this back to us as session recordings, heatmaps and funnels. Depending on your consent choices, it may collect information such as:

• Pages viewed and the order in which you viewed them
• Mouse movements, clicks, taps and scrolling behaviour
• Device, browser, operating system and screen size
• Approximate location derived from your IP address, and your language setting
• How you arrived at our website (for example, referring website or campaign)
• Errors or performance issues encountered during your visit

Clarity is configured to mask text entered into form fields, so information you type — such as your name, address, email address or payment details — is not recorded in session replays. We do not use Clarity to identify you personally, and we do not attempt to re-identify visitors from Clarity data.

Your consent controls what Clarity does

Clarity responds to two separate consent signals, which our consent management platform sets according to the categories you allow in the consent preferences window:

You refuse Targeting and advertising cookies	ad_storage: denied	No Clarity data is shared with Microsoft Advertising.

These two categories are independent. You can allow performance cookies without allowing your data to be used for advertising.

Since 31 October 2025, Microsoft requires a valid consent signal for visitors from the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland before Clarity will operate fully. A consent choice is treated as valid for up to nine months, after which you will be asked again.

Microsoft as a recipient

Microsoft Corporation acts as a separate controller for some of the data collected through Clarity and processes it in accordance with the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries outside the UK, protected by the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies Currently Used on Our Website

Because the technologies used by our website may change as Ancient Fields develops, we use a Cookie Declaration generated through our cookie management platform to provide an up-to-date view of cookies detected on our website.

The declaration can include information such as:

• Purpose
• Category
• Duration

This allows the information to reflect the technologies actually being used on our website rather than relying on a static list that may become outdated. Where the Cookie Declaration and this policy differ, the Cookie Declaration reflects the current position.

Changing your preferences will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew your consent.

If you withdraw consent for performance cookies, Microsoft Clarity will stop setting cookies and will delete the Clarity cookies already on your device.
